Maestra Featured in Books Uplift’s, “How to Handle Criticism Like a Pro”
Turning Criticism into a Catalyst
I was recently featured in Books Uplift’s article, “How to Handle Criticism Like a Pro”, which explored the surprising truth about criticism: it’s not inherently negative. When handled with intention, it can become a powerful tool for growth, clarity, and alignment.
That idea is at the heart of my work at Maestra. I partner with leaders who are guiding complex organizations toward ambitious goals. These leaders don’t have the luxury of avoiding criticism—they must thrive on it. To move their teams forward, they need to absorb feedback without defensiveness, reframe it into constructive insight, and model how to turn critique into action.
This is more than a personal skill; it’s a cultural one. Organizations that normalize productive criticism don’t just perform better—they innovate faster, collaborate more effectively, and stay resilient in the face of complexity.
Being featured in this article was a reminder that what I teach my clients every day is also what fuels sustainable leadership: criticism, when welcomed and worked with, is not a stumbling block. It’s the compass pointing us toward what’s possible next.
Special thanks to Kim Monaghan for featuring my perspective alongside other thoughtful contributors.
